Monitoring and alerts

How weekly monitoring works on paid plans, the three changes that trigger an alert, and how to turn it on or off for a site.

On Starter and up, monitoring re-scans your site every week and emails you when something real changes. Turn it on or off for each site under Monitoring in the site’s menu.

You get an alert when:

  • Your score drops by 5 points or more from the week before.
  • A new critical problem appears, like an AI crawler that’s newly blocked.
  • AI tools mention you less: the share of AI answers that name you falls by 10 points or more.

How often each AI tool is asked: ChatGPT and Perplexity answer fresh every week. Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT with live search answer fresh every two weeks, and the week in between shows their latest answer. Every weekly report covers all five tools.

Small week-to-week wobbles don’t trigger anything, so an alert is worth opening. Every re-scan is saved under History, so you can see what changed and when.

You can also get a short weekly summary of each monitored site. Turn it on or off under Account, Emails.
