Does ChatGPT recommend your business?
See whether ChatGPT mentions you, recommends you, or names your competitors instead. Then find out why, and what to change.
Here are three good options:
- Cedar & Pine for single origins
- Hearth Roasting for espresso
- Rosewood Coffee for subscriptions
Mentioned or recommended
Being named is not the same as being recommended. We track both, and your position when ChatGPT gives a list.
Memory and live search
ChatGPT answers from what it learned and from live web search. Knowing which one finds you tells you which fix works.
Why them, not you
We ask ChatGPT why it left you out, then check each reason against your site so you only fix what is really missing.
How ChatGPT decides who to recommend
When ChatGPT searches the web, it relies on OAI-SearchBot and on Bing's index to find pages, then quotes the ones that answer the question clearly. If your robots.txt or firewall blocks those crawlers, ChatGPT cannot cite you, however good your site is.
Without live search, ChatGPT answers from what it learned in training, which reflects how often and how consistently your business is described across the web. That is why we check both, and why the fixes differ. Try the free Does ChatGPT recommend you? tool for a quick look.
Questions
Can't find your answer? The help center covers every part of the report, or ask us directly.
Is this the same answer my customers see?
We ask through OpenAI's official API, which can differ slightly from the ChatGPT app because the app personalizes by user and location. It is the closest repeatable measurement.
How often does ChatGPT's answer change?
Week to week. Paid plans track your prompts every week so you see the trend, not one sample.
Can you get me recommended?
No one can guarantee that. We show what is stopping it today, such as blocked crawlers, missing facts or thin pages, and how to fix each one.
