AI Search Analyzer (“the Service”) is operated by BaseThread LLC, a California limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service analyzes publicly available websites and asks third-party AI engines and search data providers about them, then reports findings, scores and recommended fixes. The Service is not offered in the European Union or European Economic Area, and you may not access it from there, including through a VPN.
2. Accounts and age
You can run a limited scan without an account. A free account is required for full audits. You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy a plan, and you’re responsible for activity under your account.
3. Plans, billing and renewal
Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Agency, monthly or annual) and one-time reports are sold by Paddle.com, our merchant of record; charges appear as BaseThread. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We’ll give advance notice of price changes and a reminder before annual renewals. Plan limits (sites, prompts, keywords, scans) reset each billing period and unused allowances don’t roll over.
4. Results, scores and AI outputs: no guarantees
- Scores, findings, visibility measurements and AI answers are estimates based on samples taken at a point in time. AI engines change frequently and answer differently by user, location and phrasing.
- AI answers shown in the Service come from third-party providers we don’t control and may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. We show them for analysis and don’t endorse them.
- Our results are produced through providers’ official APIs and may differ from what people see in consumer AI apps.
- We do not guarantee any ranking, citation, recommendation, traffic, revenue or other outcome in any search engine or AI product. Don’t rely on the Service as your only basis for legal, financial or business-critical decisions.
5. Recommendations and fixes
Recommended fixes, generated code (such as robots.txt rules, schema markup and llms.txt) and content suggestions are provided for you to review. You decide whether to implement them and you’re responsible for testing, backups and the results of changes to your site.
6. Websites you analyze
You may analyze websites you own or manage, and publicly available websites for legitimate research, including competitors. You must not use the Service to access non-public areas, bypass access controls, or cause harm to any website. We may decline or stop analyzing any site at our discretion, including at a site owner’s request.
7. Your content and data
You keep ownership of what you provide (site details, business profile, prompts, competitors, notes) and grant us a limited license to use it to operate and improve the Service. Reports generated for you are yours to use, subject to these Terms.
8. Shared reports
Anyone with a public report link can view it. You choose what to share and can revoke links at any time. Don’t share reports containing information you’re not permitted to disclose.
9. Acceptable use
You agree to our Acceptable Use and Crawler Policy, including the ban on automated access, scraping our results and reselling raw data outside the Agency plan.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. Data may be deleted according to our retention schedule.
11. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits, revenue, rankings or data. Our total liability is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.
13. Indemnification
You’ll indemnify BaseThread LLC against claims arising from your use of the Service, the websites you analyze, the changes you make based on our recommendations, the reports you share, or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law, venue, arbitration
California law governs. Venue is Santa Clara County, California. Disputes are resolved by individual binding arbitration with jury-trial and class-action waivers, except small-claims matters and requests for injunctive relief relating to intellectual property or misuse of the Service. Claims must be brought within one year.
15. Statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence, including in the UK.
16. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the Service or create risk for us or others. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
17. Export and sanctions, and the rest
You confirm you’re not in an embargoed country or on a restricted-party list. Not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms and the linked policies are the entire agreement. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or sale.
18. Changes to these Terms
We’ll post updates with a new date and email account holders about material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept them. The English version controls.
