Case study: FreeLivePoll and the name AI couldn't match

A live polling site scored 90 for AI readiness but wasn't named in any Claude answer. Its own markup called it by a different name. What the scan found.

FreeLivePoll is a free tool for running live polls in classrooms, meetings and events. We scanned its site with AI Search Analyzer on October 15, 2026, then asked Claude six questions a teacher or event host might ask.

The site: 90 out of 100

Every AI crawler could read it. The scan read 50 pages and found one high problem, three medium and three low:

Finding Severity What the scan saw
http doesn’t redirect to https High http://freelivepoll.com/ answered with the page instead of redirecting
Pages with noindex Medium 3 pages tell search engines not to index them, through an X-Robots-Tag header
Organization has no sameAs links Medium The markup names the business “LivePoll” and links to no official profiles
Static files without cache headers Low 13 of 13 homepage files
Near-duplicate pages Low Two guide pages read almost the same
Short title Low “Help and FAQ”, 12 characters

The answers: 0 out of 6

We asked Claude for the best live poll makers six ways. FreeLivePoll wasn’t named in any answer.

The name problem

The site’s structured data calls the business LivePoll. The domain, the title and the brand people type are FreeLivePoll. To an AI tool those can look like two different things, and “live poll” is also just a description of the category. When a business’s own markup disagrees with its name, AI tools have a harder time connecting what they read about it.

What to fix, in order

  1. Make the name match everywhere. Use “FreeLivePoll” in the Organization markup, the title and the footer.
  2. Add sameAs links from the markup to official profiles, so AI tools can confirm it’s one business.
  3. Redirect http to https. A small server setting with a high payoff for trust.
  4. Check the three noindex pages. If they should be found, remove the header.
  5. Get onto the lists. Most of the tools Claude named also appear in the top “best live polling tool” roundups. That’s where FreeLivePoll needs to be mentioned next.
