TypeFire is a text expander, clipboard manager and notes app for Mac. We ran it through AI Search Analyzer on October 15, 2026: the full scan of its site, then six questions to Claude, the kind a buyer asks when they shop for an app like it.
The site: 95 out of 100
| Area | Score |
|---|---|
| AI crawler access | 100 |
| Crawling and indexing | 100 |
| Structured data | 100 |
| Content | 100 |
| Security | 100 |
| Links | 95 |
| On-page | 90 |
| Trust and identity | 86 |
| Speed and mobile | 80 |
Every AI crawler could read it. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s AI all had full access. The scan read 50 pages and found no critical or high problems: one medium (no About page) and six low ones, mostly about page weight. The heaviest page was 871 KB of HTML, and one page carried 344 links.
The answers: 0 out of 6
We asked Claude six versions of the buyer’s question, from “best text expanders for Mac” to “affordable text expanders for Mac”. TypeFire wasn’t named once.
| Named by Claude | Share of answers |
|---|---|
| Keyboard Maestro | 50% |
| Espanso | 50% |
| Typinator | 50% |
| aText | 33% |
| Alfred | 33% |
| TextExpander | 33% |
| TypeFire | 0% |
Why a 95 wasn’t enough
The score measures whether AI tools can read and understand a site. TypeFire passes that test. But Claude, answering from what it learned in training, recommends the apps it has read about most, across reviews, forums and roundup posts. Every app on that list has been written about widely, for years.
So the gap isn’t on TypeFire’s site. It’s everywhere else:
- Mentions in roundups. Most of the apps Claude named also appear in the top “best text expander for Mac” lists. Being on those lists is the first fix.
- Reviews and threads. Forum threads and reviews that name the app alongside the known ones connect the new name to the category.
- An About page. The one medium finding. It’s cheap, and it tells AI tools who stands behind the app.
What this means for your site
A high score is the entry ticket: without it, nothing else works. But AI tools recommend what they’ve seen discussed. Check both halves: whether AI can read your site, and whether it names you when your customers ask.
